Students are able to register for classes using Banner Self-Service once they are cleared to do so by their academic advisor. Students are responsible for understanding the registration process and for any classes that are added and dropped from their schedule.

All students intending to graduate must apply for graduation. Responsibility for meeting all graduation requirements rests with the student.
More about GraduationStudents can request their transcripts via Parchment.
- Official transcripts can be ordered 24/7 and are $10.00 plus sales tax per copy. Parchment accepts payment through Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
- Paper transcripts are printed and mailed Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (CST/CDT).
- Most transcripts are sent within 24 business hours of receiving the request.
- Unofficial transcripts are not available to previous or Alumni students.
Enrollment Verification for Students
The University of Montevallo has contracted with the National Student Clearinghouse to handle all requests for degree verification and current enrollment verifications. There is no charge for an enrollment verification for currently enrolled students.
Third Party Degree Verification
You may request this information directly from National Student Clearinghouse 24 hours a day or by telephone at (703) 742-4200 or via Fax to (703) 742-7792. Customer service contact hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please be aware that there is a service fee to verify a degree.

Freedom of Information Act
Since 1967, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) has provided the public the right to request access to records from any federal agency. It is often described as the law that keeps citizens in the know about their government.
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) generally provides that any person has the right to request access to federal agency records or information except to the extent the records are protected from disclosure by any of nine exemptions contained in the law or by one of three special law enforcement record exclusions.
Solomon Amendment
Colleges and universities are required to comply with the final regulations of the Solomon Amendment (effective 10/23/1998). Failure to comply may result in the loss of federal funding including various forms of federal student aid.
